Making your own candy!




We were gifted cans of frozen organic elderberry pulp from the local marmalade factory that wanted to throw them away because they didn't use them. Matthias got really excited and his creativity started flowing. Until half past two in the morning he was busy turning the jars into elderberry syrup, sauce, marmalade (also with rhubarb and blackberries that we picked from the garden and the forest), juice and... candy! We used organic agave instead of sugar. 

For the licorice, Matthias boiled the juice until it was a thick paste and now we dry it in the electric food dehydrator. So tasty and healthy!
