DIY vs buying in the shop

Doing things by hand gives you a completely different perspective on many things. You start to understand more about our economy, in this case about how much almonds you need for just one glas of almond milk and how much time it takes to crack the almonds you need for it. (And to pick them, what we did last autumn) Our current economy is all about consumption. Bottles of almond milk @ 3 euro in the supermarket. Who cares where they come from? Doing things by hand makes you humble again. It awakens an understanding that we just can’t go on like this any more.
