We are so happy we found a few ‘more natural’ trees. The root stock grown from seed and the insert has not been pruned.
“Please don’t cut the trees” I asked. “But they will grow very tall.” “Exactly, that’s the idea. A tall, natural unpruned tree, we never have to prune.”
The moment we collected the trees, we saw a few of them were pruned. “But we do it always like that. We use the top for the insert.”
“I really made clear we don’t want pruned trees, they have to be able to grow their natural form.” They exchanged the trees that had been cut for other ones.
Slowly going back to nature and our own natural form, breaking out structural habits.
